The Blush Silky Oak, Bleasdalea bleasdalei,  is a beautiful, small tree of rainforest margins where it stands outbrightly because of its red and yellow to bronze young leaves. It is found in mid-montane to montane rainforest between Cairns and Mackay. From November to March the mature, blue fruit drop to the ground from where many are picked up and eaten by cassowaries.
