Hicksbeachia pinnatifolia, Boppel Nut The Boppel nut, Hicksbeachia pinnatifolia, is a small rainforest tree related to macadamias that grows in subtropical rainforest in north-east New South Wales and south-east Queensland. The contrasting textures and colours of the bark, leaves, flowers and fruit make this a very attractive garden plant. The plant painted here is growing in the Royal Botanic Gardens Sydney.
