Bulbophyllum fascinator Bulbophyllum fascinator, native to the rainforests of Laos and Vietnam, was named in 1908 after the fashionable, feathery hairpieces and hat decorations popular amongst women at the time, particularly at the more famous horse-racing meetings. Fascinators are currently making a come-back as a fashion item.
