The Blue Quandong stands out in the rainforest with its red leaves and bright blue fruit and with the large sinuous buttresses on its trunk. It is always a delight to come across one of these trees in the rainforest as the leaf litter beneath the tree will be scattered with these colourful leaves and fruit which can drop at any time of the year.
